Dr. Anderson has written a book about how a healthy diet can lead you to optimal health. This book has been a game-changer for many people who used to struggle with obesity. This book which was conceived and written by Dr. Andersen is an easy read that can make losing weight understandable and achievable. What I have learned by reading this book is that being over weight was not really my fault. I never really thought of obesity from the point of view that America was encouraging it by what was being loaded into my food and how restaurant portion sizes were getting larger and larger. I never realized that since I was taught from my youth to “clean my plate” has set me up for obesity from childhood.
Before reading this book I thought about having a gastric bypass and because of this book I learned that I had to change my emotional and mental attachment to food. I had to change my way of thinking from “The American Diet” which simply made me fat. All of that changed after reading, and implementing, Dr. A’s Habits of Health. No longer do I allow the American Diet to overwhelm my waist size and keep spiraling my way towards obesity related illnesses.
